Career Development Grant from the American Association for University Women | Jessica Keith, SOE master's candidate, has received a prestigious Career Development Grant for $7,000 from the American Association for University Women (AAUW). 4th Annual Hawaii International Conference on Education | The 4th Annual Hawaii International Conference on Education took place from January 6-9, 2006 in Honolulu, Hawaii. USF was represented at the conference by Dr. Patricia Mitchell, Dr. Betty Taylor and several doctoral and master's level students, who presented refereed papers on emerging issues in higher education. Carl A. Grant Multicultural Research Award | On November 12, Dr. Lois Moore, adjunct faculty in our IME Department and graduate of the IME doctoral program, received the Carl A. Grant Multicultural Research Award at the 15th Annual International Conference of the National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) for her work on multiculturalism and diversity. L&I Department Awarded $800,000 Grant | A grant proposal authored by Dr. Susan Evans and Dr. Yvonne Bui was selected as a winner in the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) Leadership Competition, netting the L&I department a total of $800,000 in funding. Via tuition scholarships, this four-year grant will help 14-16 L&I doctoral students. Read More >> |
