Catholic School Dissertations
Reviewing doctoral dissertations is a very effective way to engage in the study of an interest. Chapter Two of most dissertations will give you an excellent collection of the best literature in the field, as well as many of the research pieces of a given topic. Chapter Four will generally report the findings of the dissertation research, and Chapter Five will make recommendations, tease out implications, and summarize ways in which the dissertation you are reading is related to previous research.

Welcome to the wonderful world of doctoral research!

The following dissertations are grouped into five listings:

1) ICEL and USF dissertations 1981-1998
2) NCEA listings before 1976
3) Doctoral Dissertations on Catholic Schools [booklet], K-12, 1976-1987
4) Dissertations researched between 1987-1996
5) Dissertations researched since 1996

If you have written a doctoral dissertation on Catholic schools and it is not listed in one of the three categories immediately above (we know we have a complete listing of our first category), please e-mail us (traviss@usfca.edu) the correct information and we will insert it. Thank you.
