Linda Shore, Ph.D.

A long time faculty member in the Digital Media and Learning program, Dr. Shore has also conducted educational research at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, taught astronomy at Boston University, evaluated education software, and helped design a high school curriculum on fractals in nature. Presently she is staff physicist and the Director of the Teacher Institute at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. Linda co-authored The Science Explorer, a series of Exploratorium activity books for children and their parents.

Ben Baab, Ed.D.

As a 20-year member of the USF community, Dr. Baab has served the University in several capacities. Through the 1980s and 1990s, he played a lead role in supporting the instructional and then administrative use of technology at USF. Dr. Baab has taught in the College of Arts and Science, the College of Professional Studies, and the School of Education. After completing his doctoral work in Curriculum and Instruction, he moved from IT management into instructional design. For the past four years, Dr. Baab has led a team of computer-based training authors at Individual Software Inc., where he manages development of the industry-leading Professor Teaches series of training software. Recently, one of the products in the Professor Teaches line has been named as a finalist for the prestigious CODIE award.

John Bansavich, Ed.D.

John has been working at USF since 1997, and is presently the Director for the Center of Instruction and Technology (CIT) where he manages a staff of four professionals and six students. In addition to teaching Web Design for the DML program, John teaches Teaching, Learning and Technology for the Teacher Education Department. John earned his Ed.D. from the USF School of Education Learning and Instruction Department. His dissertation focused on "Factors Influencing Pre-service Teachers' Readiness to Integrate Technology into their Instruction."

Lisa Tortorich, M.A.

A developer of online curricula and an expert in instructional design, Lisa is a member of the executive team at Knowvation.Com, a company that provides expert professional development and custom consulting services for educators. Lisa also brings over fourteen years of secondary school teaching experience to the DML program. Since 1999, Ms. Tortorich has been designing, developing, and teaching her renowned "authentic" courses for the Digital Media and Learning Program.

Kevin Graziano, Ed.D.

Dr. Graziano is an Assistant Professor of Education in the Teacher Preparation Program at Nevada State College. He received his doctorate in International and Multicultural Education with a minor in DML at the University of San Francisco in 2003. His teaching and research interests include multicultural education, technology and learning, and the digital divide. His doctoral dissertation, "Through Their Own Eyes: A Photovoice and Participatory Analysis Into the Lives of Black Gay and Lesbian South Africans," utilized documentary photography and storytelling and was selected as a finalist for the Amnesty International Patrick Stewart Human Rights Scholarship. Kevin received the 2006 City of Henderson and Henderson Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Teacher Award and was honored by his peers with the 2006 Nevada State College Teaching Excellence Award. He has been teaching in the Teacher Education Department at USF since 2002.

Elin Saltveit, M.Ed.

Elin Saltveit has been an Adjunct Professor in the DML program since 1991 and classroom teacher since 1986 in both public and private schools. She is the author of two books on educational technology: Hit Enter: 50+ Computer Projects for the K-5 Classroom (Heinemann, 1999) and Computer Fun for Everyone (Wiley,1998). In addition to teaching at USF, she is a teacher for the Portland Public Schools, dividing her time between teaching in the classroom and directing educational technology programs for Portland’s 3,500 teachers.

Trey Cosgriff, M.A.

Trey Cosgriff is an experienced technology-using middle school teacher, former technology coordinator, educational technology trainer, and an adjunct instructor in the DML program. He authored the award-winning software, MacArchitecture, and most recently, An Archeological Excavation of Troy. For the past five years, Trey has been teaching DML Practicum, a course where DML students integrate instructional technology into "real time classrooms" utilizing middle school students.

Mouwafac Sidaou, M.A.

Mouwafac has been teaching at USF Mathematics department and School of Education DML Program Since 2001. His area of interest includes integrating science and technology.

Prior to his teaching career, Mouwafac worked in Silicon Valley as a technical consultant in the areas of curriculum development, online solutions, building train-the-trainer programs (TTT), and project management for many large corporations some of which are S1, Hewlett Packard, Cirrus Logic, IDT, and California Department of Health Services - Office of Multicultural Health.
