Description

Digital Media Literacy seeks to introduce students the vocabulary, concepts, tools and techniques for the integration of technology into learning environments at various scales and levels.

Objectives:

Digital Media Literacy course goals:
  • The operation of the personal computer and various computer peripherals
  • The use of software applications (such as word processors, graphics programs, spreadsheets, etc.) in educational settings
  • An understanding of current policies, trends and research results
  • An understanding of criteria used to evaluate computer applications designed for K-12 settings
  • A working knowledge of the design and implementation of exemplary computer-based curriculum
