| Hands on Learning within inquiry-based instructional environments goes straight to the heart of Dr. Linda Shore's educational philosophy; it also drive powerfully the pedagogy she herself employs in teaching graduate students in the DML program and School of Education. Her Constructivism and Technology course is an ever popular and dynamic mainstay of the DML program.
In addition to her duties as adjunct professor in the DML program, Dr. Shore is a staff physicist and the Director of the Teacher Institute at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. For years she has worked with middle school and high school math and science teachers throughout the Bay Area to enrich their own classrooms.
The author of The Science Explorer, a series of Exploratorium activity books for children and their parents, Linda has also been involved with a number of educational projects including the Annenberg/CPB Math and Science Project and Harvard University's "Project STAR", a hands-on astronomy curriculum that addresses student misconceptions.
