MA Organization & Leadership

The M.A. in Organization and Leadership (O&L) is based on the theory that adults learn best when choosing their study from their own experience and their reflections on this experience. Therefore, each M.A. student, working closely with a faculty adviser, crafts her or his own program of 30 units. The program must have a majority of courses drawn from the O&L array, but may also include graduate courses from other departments at the School of Education or USF.

Students in the M.A. in Organization and Leadership program are provided an opportunity to pursue several courses of study that represent current dimensions and challenges of leadership in the university, corporation, healthcare, technology, K-12 schooling, and international development. Students may also combine their course of study for the M.A. degree with preparation for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.

While the O&L M.A. programs may be completed in one academic year including the summers, most students complete them in two years.
