The USF School of Education offers highly focused programs facilitated by a team a dedicated faculty | When you enroll in the USF School of Education, you enter a very special arena, that is, a small school within a unique university, dedicated to academic excellence and social justice. As such, the School of Education provides all the advantages of a small college, including close contact with peers as well as intensive mentoring and support from knowledgeable and dedicated faculty.
Since its inception in 1972, the School of Education has demonstrated its commitment to prepare education and community leaders whose background and interests are reflective of, and responsive to, the cultural diversity of today's world. It particularly prepares students to serve as teachers, curriculum developers and supervisors, administrators, higher education personnel, counselors, therapists, psychologists, private consultants, as well as business managers and trainers.
The School of Education offers a variety of programs at the credential, master's and/or doctoral level in the following areas: Counseling Psychology, International and Multicultural Education, Leadership Studies (Catholic Educational Leadership, and Organization and Leadership), Learning and Instruction (including Special Education), and Teacher Education (including Digital Media and Learning).
Several of the credential and master's level programs are also offered at regional campuses. Finally, in addition to these academic programs, numerous opportunities abound for students to participate in school- or community-based service and applied research activities.
