Counseling Psychology

The master's and credential programs in Counseling Psychology prepare competent professional counselors and therapists by broadening their bases of knowledge and by helping them develop the specific skills necessary for successful careers in the helping professions. The programs' emphases include cognitive-behavioral, family systems, lifespan development, and multicultural counseling perspectives. Individuals learn theories and effective practices for working with children, adults and their families in a variety of community mental health, school and work settings.
