General Education Curriculum

The General Education Curriculum (GEDU) provides students with the foundations needed to pursue graduate-level coursework. All doctoral programs require that each student successfully complete 12 units of coursework in General Education: a 3-unit Foundations course; a 3-unit Applied Educational Statistics course; a 3-unit Research Methods course; and a 3-unit Advanced Research course. Information regarding the GEDU courses, that is, when a specific course is offered, catalogue description, prerequisites, objectives, requirements, topics, and possible textbooks, can be found on this web site.

Please Note | Questions regarding GEDU courses can be directed to the chairperson of the General Education Advisory Council, Dr. Patricia Busk, at busk@usfca.edu or (415) 422-6289.
